The Porsche 911 is a beast, whereby the car boasts extraordinary driving performances, which is top in-line. And apparently, it seems that the next generation Porsche 911 might be getting a transmission overhaul, whereby car enthusiasts are speculating the Porsche is keen to try something new called the hybrid transmission system.
Generally, existing Porsches are already using something called the kinetic energy recovery systems, which prove to be a major success. While the upcoming hybrid transmission system is set to capture kinetic energy during deceleration of the car, simply by using something called the flywheel mechanism. Also, the automaker has already expanded the wheelbase length of the car, which is enough to accommodate the KERS between the engine and gearbox. Speculators also mentioned that the future entry-level Carrera can surpass the existing 4.7 seconds for 0-60, whereby the car is set to be lighter and more energy efficient when it comes to miles per gallon.
