Ever since the invention of the NFC payment gateways, countless of mobile phone operators are ditching out their solutions to capitalize on the respective payment gateway. In fact, sources have indicated that Microsoft is also actively developing their NFC payment module, whereby the sources also mentioned that this particular extension might be available on the next WP7 update.
Basically, Google is one of the very first few that have included the NFC module on their Android operating system. And judging by the fact that Google has already established partnerships with several credit card service providers in the region, I’m guessing that their system is already ready to go. Surely, these are tremendous progress for the mobile operators, since RIM is stuck with their Bank of America trial, while Apple won’t be pushing for the contactless payment, until later this year.
