World Trade Organization Forecasts 10 Percent Growth for 2010 World Trade PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 06 July 2010
World Trade Organization has earlier forecasted that the world trade will grow by 10 percent this year. Although the projected growth seems favorable, analysts have further speculated that the forecasts turn out to be somewhat too low.

WTO chief Pascal Lamy has stated that the growth for 2009 has somewhat slumped over the year, and that the economy will significantly do better in 2010. On the other hand, Pascal Lamy reiterated that trade growth is coming back fast, whereby part of the success can be attributed to China’s dynamism. Apparently, China is considered to be leading the economic recovery, whereby the country shows strong signs of growth in their industrial segment.
